Linda started basket weaving with reed in the 1980’s shortly after her move to northern NY. Her interest in weaving quickly became an important part of her life. She started designing, teaching, harvesting and working with bark, then waxed linen. She feels it is exciting to create intricate patterns and incorporate different materials in her designs. She is working on her book for weaving miniatures. Linda has had the pleasure of teaching at various locations for art centers, guilds and groups throughout the Eastern United States. Occasionally, she partakes in juried craft fairs and exhibitions. Most recently, her basket Radiance was in the NBO All Things Considered VIII Exhibition. Linda likes to share her basketry experience with other basket makers and those interested in basketry. For more info go to her website adirondackbasketry.com
