Stained Glass Sun Catcher Class

Stained Glass Sun Catcher Class

Spend a Saturday at View in Old Forge learning how to create a stained glass sun catcher using the cooper foil method.  Mary Pokentowski has been working with stained glass for thirty years.  Although she prefers the cooper foil method, she can also create leaded windows.  Mary has taught a number of classes at Brennan Stained Glass Studio and has sold a number of commissioned pieces.

This class is designed for the beginner and intermediate artists. Mary will teach proper cutting and soldering methods.  The finished project each student will create is a 10-inch snowflake.  The snowflake will be made from hand cut glass, pre-cut beveled glass, and colored glass globs.  You will select your materials and snowflake design from several patterns supplied.  Each person will leave class with a unique custom-made snowflake!  An additional angel project will be available for people if they have extra time.

The class is on January 6, 2018, and will start at 10:00 am.  The class will run until the students complete their projects.  All materials are included.  Cost for the class is $125/$120 members.

Deadline to register is January 4, 2018.
