View introduces a new drawing workshop with Robert Imundo, local artist, teaching the magic of drawing using the techniques of pencil logic.
Classes will meet Tuesdays 2/20, 2/27, 3/6, and 3/13 from 3:15-5:15 pm.
In this series of classes, the student will learn to let go of expectations, feel free to play, explore, and imagine with pencil in hand.
Students will practice the dynamics of line, the subtle use of shade, and the value of contrast. They will work with a variety of pencil graphite weights, conte crayons, erasers and different types of paper. Rob will also teach students to use the grid as an aid to orient objects on paper and learn to reevaluate use of composition.
This class is open to students from ages 16 to above with mixed skill levels. Beginning to intermediate. Perfect for the artist who desires to get back to basics or the student who wants to sharpen their skills in a small group of peers.
The goal with this class is to start working on an open studio format in which a group of artist will get together weekly, exploring and strengthening their drawing skills.
The cost for the workshop including materials is $130/$120 members.
Pre-registration is required and class size is limited.
Registration deadline is February 19th.
