The orientation aspect of this workshop will train an experienced potter how to produce work in the studio, understand how to bring that work to completion, as well as information on our glazing and kiln system.
The Pottery Circle allows you to be an independent potter with the added benefit of guidance from View instructor Bette Rintrona. As an independent potter you have the freedom of creating and developing your own work and own style by renting out View's studio space on a monthly basis. With this new offering you not only get to become an independent potter for the month of July, but you will be able to participate in this group oriented and collaborative Pottery Circle every Monday. This class will be a good way for potters to gather as a congenial group, make their own unique pieces and contribute to our ice cream social bowls which will be needed by July 28.
This is an opportunity for those working in ceramics to work in a state of the art facility in an open studio environment. This circle of potters will not only influence each other’s growth, but enrich the artistic community at View.
